Appearing offline to some of your friends on Facebook Chat, might happen in any case when you fought with him / her or you want to chat with some people only and do not want to be distracted by others friends messages or if you are in not the mood of chating or sometimes to get rid of some disturbing people ,this trick may help you in such a case. If you want to appear offline to those 'NO TO CHAT' people in any case, then facebook has a nice feature which enables you to choose with whom you do not want to chat.
You might be aware of the offline/online feature that allow you to be offline/online to everyone that applies to all friends.
So Follow the procedure.
- First Login into your Facebook Account.
- On the left side, Find Lists and Click on More.
- On the same page, Click on Create a list button and give your list a desired name.
- You will be directed to the next page where you will be asked to add friends.
- Here you have to Add only those friends with whom you want to appear online to chat.

- When you are done by adding all your friends to the list with whom you want appear online,Go back to your chat menu on right, and click on the settings button and then click on Limit Availability ,see images for better understanding.
- Then Select Only make me available to and mark the group you just created and Click on OK.
- This will makes you appear online only to those friends to which you selected and offline to rest.
